ABOUT

Discovering the environmental and societal damage of the textile industry, and faced with the lack of responses from existing men's fashion brands, we decided to launch Lautrec.

In the end, inventing a new way of making clothes seemed easier to start from scratch.

Inspired by the urban style typical of Parisian streets, we designed a first collection from the summer of 2019. We then went in search of the best fabrics: we had to make a drastic selection among the thousands of options available. by suppliers, to find those that would be both ecological, pleasant to the touch and the most durable. Our suppliers are French, Italian and Portuguese. Finally, we managed to convince several partner workshops who, each in their own specialty, made the first Lautrec pieces launched in spring 2020 during confinement. These are artisanal workshops on a human scale, mostly located in Portugal and France, which also produce clothing for high-end brands.

The more we advance, the more we are convinced that it is possible to do fashion differently, by prioritizing quality over quantity. This new type of fashion, more responsible and more ethical, will become the norm, not the exception.
